Duck hunting

Argentina is without a doubt the foremost duck hunting destination on earth

It is no mystery that duck hunting in Argentina most likely tops every duck hunter’s bucket list and for a good reason! Argentina is without a doubt the foremost duck hunting destination on earth, offering a wide array of duck species and some of the most beautiful in all the world among those.
Still, it is of paramount importance where and with whom you choose to hunt with!

Duck Hunting

To understand the marked advantages of our program, duck hunting and fishing for golden dorado at a moving Mothership rather than at a static lodge, you need to understand the geography of the amazing Paraná River.
The Paraná River is born in the south of Brazil and, on its way south, as it enters Argentina it receives water from several smaller rivers and tributaries, and as it enters the provinces of Entre Rios and Santa Fe, forms one of the largest deltas in the world, then the famous Uruguay river joins in, finishing at La Plata River near the city of Buenos Aires, before going into the Atlantic ocean.
This large river system is the second biggest in South America, after the Amazon, with a total length of over 1500 miles, with hundreds of tributaries, deltas, marshlands, lagoons, side channels, full of fantastic flora and fauna, providing the most exciting adventure in this unique part of Argentina.
The location of the Cruiser is at the Upper Delta of the Paraná river, the seconds largest delta in south America after the Amazon!!!

Duck Hunting

When you come duck hunting to the Duck Hunting Argentina Cruiser, because of the nature of our unique mothership program, you will be able to experience a wide variety of hunting scenarios, with one thing in common: large numbers of ducks!!!!
There are several types of teal, two types of pintails (the white-cheeked and the yellow-billed pintail). In addition, you’ll find wigeon, whistling ducks, shovelers, and the rosy-billed pochard, perhaps the most sought after duck in Argentine, due to its size, beauty, flying for many in similar way to mallards.

Duck Hunting

Mornings and afternoons, you will leave the Cruiser in one of our North Carolina skiffs with your guide, while our team will have everything ready at the designated blind of each session. Usually rides are short and close by, while sometimes, will go deeper into the more secluded areas to show you other amazing locations, always with exclusive access and no one else on sight. But in all cases, the ducks are accessible for hunters of all ages and experiences.

CAST AND BLAST/FISHING

Golden Dorado are extraordinary hunters. They are always in search of an easy prey that happens to go by their holding spot (even a smaller Dorado!). They like moving water, and most times stalk close to river structures.
Fishing is done from North Carolina skiffs, specially designed for fishing, with two casting platforms that allow comfortable casting and fishing of two anglers at the same time, with remote operated electrical engines done by the guide.
Besides targeting Golden Dorado, there is also the added bonus of fishing other exciting fish too like Pira Pita, Tararira (wolf fish), Surubi (catfish), Chafalote (Paraná river vampire fish), and other freshwater species, which provide fantastic sport.
